Out of the mouths of babes

It is true that kids really are little copy cats. Some things heard from the mouth of my 2 ½ year old in the past month.

1. While pounding on the computer keyboard “I’m checking my E-Mail.” – Credit unknown.
2. After finishing a glass of apple cider “That’s good stuff!” – Credit me.
3. While sitting at the dinner table. “I’m tired. It’s been a long day.” –Credit Abi
4. While riding in the car. “You’re a crazy driver.” – Credit Abi
5. While waiting at a stop light. “Come on lady go.” – Credit me.
6. At the dinner table “Oh Crap.” – Credit Abi.
7. In the living room. “Look at my butt.” – Credit unknown probably me.

Good thing we tend to keep our language rated PG or who knows what else could be coming out of his mouth.

“Monkey see, monkey do” and “Little pitchers have big ears,” my grandmother used to say. True…

I got a good chuckle out of your list, but here’s the Big Question: are you planning on telling the stories behind those little comments?

Because you know, of course, we’re all dying to know the circumstances for how the Little Parrot managed to pick up that “Look at my butt” line from you!! 🙂
